Nadia Okrusko is a pianist from Lithuania based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Her musical upbringing developed between Lithuania, Russia and Denmark. Nadia graduated from National M.K. Ciurlionis art high school in Vilnius, Lithuania. In 2008, she received 1. prize at Rosalyn Tureck J.S. Bach Competition in New York, USA and same year was awarded a honorary diploma from Lithuania's president Valdas Adamkus.
Nadia has a 5-year specialist degree from Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and a masters degree from Royal Danish Music Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark.
She has participated in a number of festivals in Denmark, such as Copenhagen Jewish Culture Festival, Copenhagen Opera Festival, KLANG, Sommerklassisk Tivoli, Talk Town, Copenhagen International Piano Festival, Vildskud Theatre Festival, among others, and has performed in Scandinavia, Spain, France, Germany, Latvia, Russia, USA, Mexico, Ecuador and China.
In 2022, Nadia has initiated and organized local concert series focusing on solo repertoire - "Copenhagen Piano Soloists" - with concerts in 3 different Copenhagen venues and 6 piano soloists.
She has been awarded several scholarships in Denmark: by Torp-Pedersens Fond, Arthur Anderssons Legat, Torve Birthe Legat and Feldthusens Fond, and received a prize at Royal Danish Music Academy's piano competition in 2017; same year she has performed as a soloist with "Percurama" wind and percussion orchestra in Radiohuset hall in Copenhagen.
Currently, Nadia collaborates with singers and instrumentalists, teaches piano and works as freelance performer.
